True Self

     The face you see
Is just for now,
It will not stay
Like the time held
Within the hands of a clock
It will fade away.

For you see only an image
Held within your minds eye
And not the essence
Of the part of me
That can never die.

For deep within my inner self
Where the pure love of my Spirit dwells
Is the clear reflection of my true self
The eternal face of life itself.
